INTRODUCTION
The story of Dr. Bip P.T. Boingboing is so amazing that many people hardly believe it. For national security reasons the United States government made several agreements with Dr. Boingboing to keep silent about his enterprises. But with time's passing Dr. Boingboing has come forward so that others may know about his universal discoveries and adventures. It is in this book that he finally lays open his astounding life.
Bip P.T. Boingboing was a child prodigy. By the time Dr. Boingboing was three years old he had memorized the periodic table of elements. At five he could read and speak six languages. At seven he could play Bach's, "Toccata and Fugue in D minor" on the pipe organ with a special apparatus so that his feet could reach the foot pedals. At ten he had read and understood Einstein's theories and made the news nationwide in the early 40's when the two geniuses met and discussed relativity. The New York Times quoted Einstein saying, "The boy seems to understand my theories as well as anyone."
In the early 40's Dr. Boingboing was becoming the country's most famous child after Shirley Temple and Spanky McFarland. Dr. Boingboing's strict orthodox Jewish parents thought that all the hoopla surrounding Bip was not kosher. So the Boingboing family left New York and discreetly moved to the small city of Hoboken, Oregon, and lived a quiet life. Dr. Boingboing, who faded into obscurity, first became an adventurer in those years skiing, climbing peaks and wandering through the woods of the Cascades. But Bip in his Oregon teen years was still an intellectual gorilla. Dr. Bip P.T. Boingboing's father no longer could keep his son in exile. The young Boingboing finished the University of Oregon at the age of 16. By 19 he had a Ph.D. from Harvard in Astrophysics. By the age of 23 Dr. Bip P.T. Boingboing got another Ph.D. in Rocket Engineering from MIT.
It was only natural that the US government recruit Dr. Boingboing for the 50 's rapidly advancing space program. John Glen was the household name star that came out of our government's surge into space. But years before John Glenn ever climbed in a rocket-ship there was a score of unsung heroes. They designed rockets; They ascended 100,000 feet in the stratosphere in helium balloons to test first hand space's non atmospheric effects on the human body; They worked out the complicated physics of the trajectories into space; They lived under water for days to test life support systems. Dr. Bip P.T. Boingboing was behind each of these historic ventures.
But in the 1960's Dr. P.T. Boingboing's career with the NASA came to a collision course. Dr. Boingboing developed a theory of jet plasma propulsion. In essence it was a rocket propulsion system that was faster, cheaper, and more energy efficient than NASA 's current system. The US government, already heavily invested in the current technology, could not afford a change. Also, the government wouldn't stomach Dr. Boinboing or anyone exposing NASA's system as inferior.
Instead of going with the status quo, Dr. Bip P.T. Boingboing pushed for research and development for his rocket system. He made a commotion at NASA headquarters, and in the halls of Congress. He even met with the President right before Kennedy left for Dallas in Nov. 1963.
The NASA bosses were unsympathetic to this young upstart who wanted to revamp the space program. But at the same time the US government did not want the Soviets to get wind of Dr. Bip P.T. Boingboing's revolutionary ideas. To keep Dr. Bip P.T. Boingboing quiet the Government offered him a secret research facility near Willamette pass, 5000 feet high in the Oregon Cascades, not far from his home town, Hoboken. It was there that one day in 1969, much to NASA officials' shock and amazement that Dr. Bip P.T. Boingboing, with the help of his assistants, launched himself into space. It was a journey that would last for 15 years and has remained top secret until now.
What follows are Dr. Bip P.T. Boingboing's own words. He tells for the first time the in depth story of his incredible travels and adventures.
